What Is Granijet Spray Granite?

icon Granijet is a next-generation facade coating system made by micronising natural stone granules, blending them with a special acrylic resin and applying the mixture to surfaces using a high-pressure spray system.

icon It offers both visual and technical advantages.

icon It lasts much longer than conventional paints and is much lighter than heavy external insulation systems.

icon Granijet not only gives facades a stylish, modern appearance but also stands out for its durability.

Product Description: The Granijet range of spray stone coatings is water-based, contains natural stone particles and uses an acrylic resin binder. It contains no paint or added pigments, deriving its colour entirely from natural granite and stone particles.

Applications: This product is suitable for interior and exterior use in hotels, shopping centres, commercial buildings, residential buildings and any other structure where a stone-textured facade coating is desired.

Suitable Substrates: With a suitable primer selected for the substrate, it can be applied to concrete, fine-plastered surfaces, boards, plasterboard, fibre-reinforced concrete, cement-bonded particleboard, OSB, wood and metal. It is also suitable for concave and convex surfaces and overhead applications.

Key Properties: Granijet creates an appearance similar to natural stone cladding. Its textured surface produces an attractive finish resembling flamed or sandblasted natural stone, with the same solid, elegant appearance.

It forms a very hard, abrasion-resistant surface. Its natural stone particles provide excellent resistance to colour fading, and it offers high resistance to weathering.

As a lightweight coating, it does not add the same load to a building as natural stone. For example, 3 cm thick natural stone adds approximately 80 kg per square metre, while Granijet coatings add no more than 5 kg. This helps reduce the effects of seismic loads on the building.

It suits a wide range of designs. Circular columns, for example, can be coated as easily and at the same cost as walls. Many patterns can be created, including composite panel, ceramic and straight horizontal joint designs.

It provides 100% waterproofing on facades. Application is much faster than mechanically fixed natural stone cladding. Its degree of flexibility prevents cracks in underlying surfaces from showing through the coating.

The acrylic resin binder provides resistance to contraction and expansion caused by day-to-night temperature changes. It is also a much more economical material than natural stone.
